Neil-Dominic Chaban grew up in the heart of the music scene of Chester County.  After rigorous classical study, Neil attended West Chester University on an educator’s scholarship. Once at West Chester, he earned merit scholarships for performance, pedagogy, and academics.  He was mentored in the music education department by Ann McFarland, a specialist in methodology. Directed by his piano teacher Dr. Theresa Klinefelter and organ teacher Mrs. Anita Greenlee, Neil participated in master classes and performances all over Pennsylvania.  He completed his degree abroad at Korea University, where he earned a scholarship after receiving a 4.0 in Korean coursework. Stephanie came to the Lehigh Valley to attend Lehigh University as an undergraduate student. Miss DeFrancisco graduated from Moravian College this past spring with a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics and a certification in secondary education.  She has taught seventh and eighth grade math for the program, Lehigh Valley Summerbridge. This past summer, she facilitated a six week long project where students constructed their own schools using applicable math skills. In addition to teaching, Miss DeFrancisco coaches girls' volleyball and is entering her fourth season of coaching travel volleyball. READ MORE

Dobrowolski, Diane Wagner — Director of Theatre

Diane Wagner Dobrowolski received her B.A. in English from DeSales University and her M.F.A in Acting from Louisiana State University. She has worked professionally as an actress for many years. As a member of the Actor’s Equity Association, Diane has performed in numerous productions across the country. Some of her favorite roles include Kate in Dancing at Lughnasa, Portia in The Merchant of Venice, the Angel in Angels in America, and Katherina in The Taming of the Shrew. Diane had the privilege to perform at the Kennedy Center, playing Martha in LSU’s award-winning production of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf as part of the American College Theatre Festival. In 2009, she earned her Master of Science degree from the University of Scranton in Curriculum and Instruction. Mrs. Evans has taught all levels of math from Pre-Algebra through Calculus and has over fourteen years of experience teaching high school. She has taught in New Hope, PA, Prince George, VA, and Stewartsville, NJ and holds valid teaching certificates in mathematics in all three states.  She is level II certified in the state of PA. Sra. Genao joined Charter Arts in January 2015.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Temple University and is working towards a Master of Education at East Stroudsburg University.  She has studied and lived in Mexico, Venezuela, and the Dominican Republic, and most recently completed a Spanish faculty development course in Salamanca, Spain, in the summer of 2016.  Prior to entering the field of education, she spent a decade as an international flight attendant traveling the world, using her Spanish language skills, and immersing herself in the culture of the people that speak it.  She is excited to bring these experiences and her enthusiasm for foreign language education to her students. Rader Memorial Prize in Mathematics for his high achievements and scores in math and was also inducted into Pi Mu Epsilon for his hard work in the field. Diane LaBelle became the Executive Director & CEO of The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (Charter Arts) in June 2010.  She brought with her twenty years of experience as one of the premier arts and education administrators in the country.  Upon arrival at Charter Arts, which had been operating out of a restored factory building for seven years, LaBelle began working with the Board of Directors to plan the development of a brand-new facility that would meet the needs of one of the most respected high schools for the arts in the nation. Thom Mullins has been a competitive adult figure skater for 25 years, one of nine skaters who has competed in every single US Figure Skating Adult National Championship since they began in 1995. Thom is exceptionally talented in choreography and the theatrical side of figure skating. He has produced four annual benefit skating concerts in San Francisco, combining the talents of novice skaters with World and Olympic skaters, including Rudy Galindo, Surya Bonaly, Emanuel Sandhu, alongside Broadway singers and dancers. Nolt, Suzannah — Figure Skating Faculty


Ms. Nolt's career in competitive figure skating, performance, and coaching spans four decades. She is a national coach and choreographer, a USFS Gold Medalist in pair skating, a two-time Adult National medalist, World Professional Pair Silver Medalist, and a former principal and line performer with Ice Capades and other skating companies.  Her background includes extensive study in music theory, piano, and ballet. She is a rated coach with the Professional Skaters Association and has completed the master level of the Sports Science and Medicine exams through the PSA. READ MORE

For two decades, Carla worked as a writer and editor in the NYC magazine market. But with a B.A. in the dual study of Journalism and English from Syracuse University, she had long felt a tug toward the other half of her degree. The tug won. In 2002 she began an 8-year teaching career in New Jersey, first with Hackensack Middle School before moving to Hunterdon County, where she taught Sophomore English and Senior AP Literature and Composition at North Hunterdon High School. Ashley Tait Weller is a full-time member of the Charter Arts Theatre Faculty. She teaches all grade levels – voice, movement, acting and the Musical Theatre elective. Mrs. Weller directs and choreographs productions at Charter Arts and the surrounding area. Paul Walsh is a graduate of Kutztown University where he attained a degree in secondary education with a concentration in English literature.  He began teaching at Charter Arts for the 2011-2012 school year and he never looked back.  Mr. Walsh finds Charter Arts to be a remarkable school with incredibly talented students. The outstanding faculty works together with the students to create an environment that is brilliantly infused with the arts. Mr. Walsh acts as the Artistic Director of the Literary Arts Program. He is thankful each and every day that he has been given the opportunity to head this program knowing that even the most tenured of collegiate professors may not have the chance to teach what he does on a daily basis. Kelly was born and raised in the Lehigh Valley. She attended Emmaus High School, received her undergrad degree in Education and graduate degree in Education from Kutztown University. Kelly studied and performed several disciplines of dance since age four and her career culminated as a member of the Joffery American School of Ballet in New York City. She has been dance instructor at some of the finest school’s in the area including Repertory Dance Theatre and Nardi’s School of Dance. READ MORE

Ashley Winkelspecht, MS, LAT, ATC is a board certified and licensed athletic trainer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She serves as an Athletic Trainer for the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts and Parkettes’s National Gymnastic Training Center. Before joining St. Luke’s Sports Medicine full time in 2015, Ashley spent four years as a faculty member and clinical preceptor in the CAATE-accredited Athletic Training Program at East Stroudsburg University and worked clinically with the University Dance Program. Nate Zameroski is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Life Science.  He then attended Pittsburgh University to obtain a teacher certification in science, as well as mathematics. Mr. Zameroski is currently attending DeSales University for a master's degree in special education.  He has been teaching mathematics and science in a private school, located in the Lehigh valley, for the last seven and a half years.
