Morning Announcements (last updated- May 1, 2017)

The last day to submit SAP referrals will be Monday May 8th. Since the SAP Team requires multiple weeks to complete the consent, feedback, and communication process this is necessary to ensure that year end reporting is completed. Should there be any concern with a student, please contact that student’s school counselor for additional support.

The Lost and Found will be discarded on Thursday, May 4.

Zumba RE-Zumbas Tuesdays in the black box 3:15-4:00!! Join us for a fun workout. The class burns 800 calories and is easy to follow.

Youth for Christ Club will be observing the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 4th. There will be a prayer box in the Cafe Commons and slips of paper to write your prayer requests. Please put the prayer requests in the prayer box. You are welcome to join the Youth for Christ Club when they pray during lunches in the School Store on Thursday, May 4th. Youth for Christ Club meets on Club week C in the French classroom , room 221, on the 2nd floor. See Mrs. Schurz for more info.Come join us.

Top Ten Reasons to see the Spring Ice Show entitled Constellations. Reason # 1: our incredible Charter Arts skaters! They are playing modern versions of Icarus, Orpheus and Eurydice, Cygnus, Draco, Pegasus and more. It will be epic. Come see our sky full of stars! Saturday, May 13, 7 pm at Steel Ice. ANYONE ATTENDING THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS FIELD TRIP MUST COME TO A VERY BRIEF MEETING ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 3RD AT THE BEGINNING OF CLUB TIME IN THE THEATRE. IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND THE MEETING, SEE MRS. NESFEDER BEFORE THURSDAY, MAY 4TH OR YOU CANNOT ATTEND THE FIELD TRIP. IF YOU SIGNED UP FOR THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS FIELD TRIP AND CANNOT ATTEND, LET MRS, NESFEDER KNOW ASAP.

Seniors: Interested in being a Graduation Speaker? Pick up an application form from the Main Office or Mr. Chaban in room 29. Applications are due FRIDAY MAY 5th to Mr. Chaban.

Seniors: Beginning Wednesday April 19, 2017 any graduating senior who has not fulfilled their hours or submitted proper documentation for Charter Arts’ Community Service/Internship Hour graduation requirement will be NOT permitted to go out for lunch. Should your INCOMPLETE status for this requirement continue until the time we verify all graduates, you will not be permitted to participate in our Graduation Ceremony and/or receive your high school diploma until your hours are properly documented.

All transportation forms for 2017/2018 have been mailed out (Easton and Wilson do not need this form). All forms must be handed in by May 5th. If you did not get a form in the mail please see Mrs. Vierheilig in the Transportation office.

Attention all students taking the Keystone Literature Exam next month: Mrs. Bruck will be holding an after school study group for all interested students. The sessions will be held on April 19, April 26 and May 10 in room 308 from 1:45-3pm. You are responsible for arranging your own transportation home at 3pm.You do not have to be Mrs. Bruck’s student to attend, and can attend as many sessions as you’d like. The sign up sheet will be posted in room 308, and will be first come, first serve, with a limit of 20 students in each session.

Attention all juniors! Please see Mrs. McPeek in the Guidance Department if you are interested in applying for the High School Scholars Program through Lehigh University, application deadline of April 14th, Moravian College, application deadline of May 15th, or DeSales University, application deadline June 1st.

Please be aware that the Northampton Community College lot at 3rd and Polk is for their use only. All other vehicles will be ticketed. Please use the Arts Quest lot for parking.

ANYONE PLANNING TO ATTEND SPECIAL OLYMPICS NEEDS TO GET THEIR PERMISSION FORM BACK TO MRS. NESFEDER ASAP WITH THEIR PAYMENT AND T-SHIRT SIZE. IF YOU ALREADY TURNED YOURS IN, PLEASE LET MRS. NESFEDER KNOW YOUR T-SHIRT SIZE.

We are now taking orders for the 2017 Charter Arts Yearbook. You can pick up order forms in your majors department and in Study Hall. Online ordering is through Christmas City only.Check and Cash orders can be returned with the order form to either the office or to Mrs.Odell directly.

The vending machines in the Cafe’ only take $1.00 bills or change. Please make sure that you bring in the proper amount as the school will not always have change for your larger bills.

If you requested a Parking Permit, permits can be picked up in the Transportation Office (Rm 226, Second Floor)

Students, being considered on time to school means that you are in a seat in your first period class by 7:40 am. This time is based on the SCHOOL clocks, not student cell phones, watches, etc. Students arriving late will be required to get a pass at the door. This is non-negotiable.

Add/Drop forms are available in the Main Office for clubs. Please pick up a form if you are in need of a club revision. Both the dropped club and the added club advisors must sign off to approve your change. Please return completed forms to Mrs. Levernier. You must continue to attend the clubs or study halls you are scheduled for until you receive an official club change attendance form from the Main Office
