Mr. Beatty earned a B.A. in English and Creative Writing from Juniata College, and his M.A. in Creative Writing from Iowa State University. Before joining Charter Arts in 2021, Mr. Beatty divided his time between teaching as an adjunct professor at several Pennsylvania colleges, and as a freelance author and editorial consultant. Liemberger, Kristin — Artistic Director, Literary Arts

Mrs. Liemberger received her B.A. in English with a focus in Creative Writing from Kenyon College and went on to receive her certification in English Education from the University at Buffalo.  In May of 2014, Mrs. Liemberger completed her M.A. in English Literature at Rutgers--Camden after taking a few semesters off to have her two wonderful sons.  Prior to her role at Charter Arts she taught for ten yeares in the School District of Philadelphia. Mr. Mensher has a Bachelor's degree in English from York College of Pennsylvania, and a Master’s Degree in Education from Kutztown University, where he became a member of the Graduate Honor Society and delivered KU’s Commencement Speech. READ MORE

Shehan, Catherine — Literary Arts Faculty

Mx. Kitsey Shehan graduated from Millersville University in 2020, during the midst of the Pandemic with their Undergraduate Degree in Secondary English Education. During their time at MU, they were Editor in Chief for the collegiate literary magazine and graduated Magna cum laude. They previously taught in alternative education for the School District of Lancaster. Their passion is imaginative fiction writing, especially centered around comparative mythology and folktales. Their passions have taken them as far as Greece to write and reimagine myths. READ MORE
