Magna Rosa Bardales,  is originally from Perú.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work, and a MA degree in Spanish Language and Culture from Salamanca-Spain.  Magna completed her studies at the Nacional Federico Villarreal University (Lima, Peru), Kean University (New Jersey), and Salamanca University (Spain). Magna also obtained her certification to teach AP Spanish through Penn State University. READ MORE

Hsu, Chinyu — World Languages Faculty, Asian Studies

Xu laoshi was born and grew up in the Republic of China. Today, Xu laoshi holds an associate degree in the study of Japanese language/Japanese business, a bachelor’s degree in education/mathematics, and a master’s degree in education as well. Xu laoshi was a teacher of various levels of Chinese language & Chinese culture for students in Pittsburgh area. READ MORE

Musselman, Mary — World Languages Faculty- Spanish

Sra. Mussleman (formerly Genao) joined Charter Arts in January 2015.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Temple University and is working towards a Master of Education at East Stroudsburg University.  She has studied and lived in Mexico, Venezuela, and the Dominican Republic, and most recently completed a Spanish faculty development course in Salamanca, Spain, in the summer of 2016. Stoop, Florentine — World Languages Faculty, Chinese/Asian Studies

Ms. Stoop is thrilled to be a part of the Charter Arts community, teaching Chinese/Asian Studies 1 & 2. She is passionate about languages and communication. She received her B.A. in East Asian Studies and Chinese from Ursinus College. She lived in Nanjing, China for four months in the fall of 2015, studying Mandarin Chinese and Chinese culture while exploring mainland China. Some of her favorite places she visited in China were Xi'an, Hangzhou, Dunhuang, and Shanghai. She is excited to share her knowledge and experience with students. READ MORE
