Emergency Management Taskforce Goals and Objectives
- The Emergency Management Taskforce serves as an avenue in which preceding stakeholders can come together to discuss current planning efforts.
- Define the roles and responsibilities of emergency response in the school district and in non-publics schools
- Develop, update and revise current methods for communicating with the staff, students, families and media
- Obtain necessary equipment and supplies to carry out our response plans and recovery procedures
- Update maps and facilities information, and provide this to the responding law enforcement agencies prior to an emergency event
- Update accountability and student release procedures for various types of crises that require the following responses: evacuation, reverse evacuation, lockdown, or shelter-in-place.
- Perform at minimum, one exercise, involving all of the stakeholders of the Bethlehem Areas School District REMS project. Debriefing immediately following the exercise, and the development of a Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation (HSEEP) compliant after-action report will be prepared and disseminated amongst the EMT members.
