The Spring Choral Concert at Charter Arts features 9/10 Choir, 11/12 Choir, Treble Choir, and Touring Choir as well as a combined choral finale featuring all singers.….
All choirs are performing diverse and challenging repertoire covering multiple styles of music (and languages!) including gospel, jazz, chant, folk song, spiritual, and modern choral repertoire. The combined choral finale is ‘The Lake Isle’ by Ola Gjeilo, a refreshing work set to capture text from W. B. Yeats in the Irish style. The piece will feature over 100 choral singers as well as a string quartet and solo guitarist.
