Ashley Tait Weller is a full-time member of the Charter Arts Theatre Faculty. She teaches all grade levels – voice, movement, acting and the Musical Theatre elective. Mrs. Weller directs and choreographs productions at Charter Arts and the surrounding area. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with dual degrees in Theatre and Interdisciplinary Fine Arts Dance Track.

Ashley was the recipient of the 2017 Indiana University of Pennsylvania Young Alumni Achievement Award on behalf of the College of Fine Arts. She received the 2010 K-12 Teacher of the Year Award for Dance and the 2014 Emerging Leader Award both from the Pennsylvania State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (PSAHPERD); she was an active member representing the Dance Division on the Executive Board for PSAHPERD for four years and has been a part of the association for over 10 years.  She has also worked with the Pennsylvania Governor’s Institute for Art Educators updating web content and performing theatrical dance works for fellow Art Educators. Ashley is an ensemble affiliate member with Touchstone Theatre; she has performed and choreographed in Touchstone Theatre’s annual Christmas City Follies production and has performed in their Annual Young Playwrights Festival for the past two years. Ashley recently participated in the Intercultural Festival Laboratory of Theatre Practice (FLIPT) in Fara In Sabina, Italy. While attending FLIPT, she performed in Shakespeare’s Island and Invisible Cities and studied daily Pino Di Buduo and the company of Teatro Potlach.
