Mr. Babiasz grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and attended Father Judge High School. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education at LaSalle University and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Curriculum Development and Educational Leadership. He won the Annenberg-Henrich Scholarship for Mathematics and Science Educators, and was inducted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Mr. Babiasz discovered his passion for teaching while participating in many activities in high school including yearbook, school newspaper, model united nations, peer tutoring, baseball, and the National Honor Society. He continued to mentor throughout his time at LaSalle University, volunteering as a tutor in the mathematics department and as a coordinator for the Neighborhood Tutoring Program.
He is the coordinator for the Charter Arts Chess Club and continues to enjoy sharing his passion for mathematics with his students. Outside of school, Mr. Babiasz has a love for the outdoors, movies, and music. He continues to play baseball and loves exploring various parks with his wife and two children.
