Dr. Georgia Bomgardner is a nationally certified and state certified school psychologist as well as a licensed psychologist.  She grew up in Arkansas, where she received her BA in Psychology at Hendrix College.  She then moved to Bethlehem, where she completed her Masters in human development and her Doctorate in school psychology at Lehigh University.

Throughout her education and training, Dr. Bomgardner has focused on supporting students and parents through behavioral, emotional, and academic interventions.   Dr. Bomgardner and her husband, Mark, live in Bethlehem with their three cats and their pup.

As the school psychologist at Charter Arts, Dr. Bomgardner has devoted her time to supporting students’ emotional and behavioral health and academic success, completing educational evaluations, and working with teachers and administrators to support system-wide success.  Beyond her typical roles at Charter Arts, Dr. Bomgardner is also active within United Way’s Resilient Lehigh Valley, a trauma-informed collaborative aimed at educating the Lehigh Valley on the impact of trauma, thus reducing stigmatization and increasing access to supportive services for all individuals.  Additionally, she represents Charter Arts on the Northampton County Suicide Prevention School Subcomittee and is co-advisor of the student-run mental health organization, Aevidum.  Prior to coming to Charter Arts, Dr. Bomgardner trained at Centennial School of Lehigh University, where she worked with students of all ages who experienced significant limitations due to emotional/behavioral concerns. Dr. Bomgardner continues to seek out training that supports students, staff, and the entire Charter Arts community. Because of her training/education as a research practitioner, Dr. Bomgardner brings with her a knowledge of best practices that she is excited to continue sharing with Charter Arts.
