Matthew Hahn is excited and honored to join the team at Charter Arts. He grew up in Easton, PA where he graduated from Wilson Area High School in 2007. It was during this time that he really developed a passion for teaching after taking an Algebra 2 Honors course with Mr. Brown. His enthusiasm and love for the profession really stuck with Mr. Hahn, and he tries to bring the same attributes and approach to his classes. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Secondary Education/Mathematics from East Stroudsburg University. He joins Charter Arts with 6 years of teaching experience at all levels in New Jersey.
When not in the classroom Mr. Hahn can be found coaching the Phillipsburg JV Boys and U-13 VTSA Typhoons soccer teams. Starting when he was 4 years old at the local YMCA, he grew up playing every chance he could. He traveled all over the east coast with his NJ club team, co-captained the most successful team in Wilson Area High School history, played two years at the D-II level with ESU, and was lucky enough to play in Sweden and England for a short time. He currently plays in several leagues around the Lehigh Valley during the winter and summer months. His other hobbies include cooking, working on his house, and spending time with his fiancé and pets.
Mr. Hahn is extremely thankful for the opportunity to join such a dedicated and hard-working group of educators and students, and is really looking forward to continuing his career at Chart Arts!
