Sarah Kimock (formerly Haarmann) grew up in Macungie, Pennsylvania and received training at the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts under the direction of Kimberly Maniscalco. She graduated magna cum laude with a B.F.A in dance from Marymount Manhattan College in 2012. Haarmann has had the pleasure of performing with Pam Tanowitz Dance, Jessica Lang Dance, Dylan Crossman Dans(ce), Pat Catterson, Denisa Musilova, Bill Young, the Merce Cunningham Trust and the Park Avenue Armory. She joined the Mark Morris Dance Group as a company member in 2017 and continues to perform with the company as a guest artist. Her role as sweet bird in Morris’s “L’Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato” garnered her critical acclaim as “stunning from the moment she stepped onstage. She moves as if she were made of air,” (Gia Kourlas, New York Times).

Sarah’s own work has been shown at the Poetry Project at St. Mark’s Church in New York City, and most recently at the Provincetown Dance Festival in Cape Cod. She has taught numerous master classes, intensives and workshops throughout the country and has served as assistant to Jessica Lang in her restaging at Muhlenberg College. Sarah has toured extensively both nationally and internationally with the Mark Morris Dance Group,  including a 6 1/2 week tour of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales as part of the Dance Consortium tour as well as the state theatre in Melbourne, Australia.
