Mike Lorenz, a guitarist, composer, & educator, hails from Bethlehem, PA. Since graduating from Moravian College (‘07) with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance, Mike has kept a busy schedule as a freelancing performer and educator, leading different groups in performances up and down the Northeast Corridor on many festivals and club stages. He leads and co-leads several groups, including the Witherbees, MULTI MANSIONS, and THRRR. Having released his first record in 2011, his latest release, the Witherbees’ Love Letter, was released in June 2021.
As an educator, Mike’s innovative mindset and affinity for implementing technology have made him a valuable member of the faculty at the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts since 2013. He has served as assistant director for the Moravian University Summer Jazz Program since 2015 and recently taught digital music for Allentown School District’s 2022 summer school programming.
