Sarah Rainey is extremely excited to be joining the Charter Arts family as a member of the Vocal Faculty. Miss Rainey was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania and has been singing as long as she has been speaking. She earned a BME in Music Education and a Professional Performance certificate from Penn State University as well as a MM in Voice Performance from Temple University. Before joining the faculty at Charter Arts, Miss Rainey spent two years teaching elementary music and choir within the Delaware Valley School District in Milford, PA.

She loves to spend her school year teaching and inspiring the next generation of musicians, and spends her summers doing her own performance work. In 2018, she spent a month singing and touring Northern Italy with the Bassi Brugnatelli Symphony Orchestra. Last summer, she spent time in Chicago singing the lead role of Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni with Chicago Summer Opera. When she is not singing or teaching, she could be seen spending time with her extremely supportive family, reading, doing puzzles, cooking, exercising, listening to her favorite musicals, or cuddling with her 8 month old Mini Goldendoodle, Penny. Miss Rainey is super excited for an amazing year ahead!
