Magdalena Schutzler


Magdalena Schutzler is a theatre administrator, designer, and educator with a multitude of experiences designing, managing artists, and teaching theatre up and down the East Coast. Magdalena was born and raised in the Lehigh Valley, with her theatre design experience beginning at Emmaus High School.

Miss Schutzler holds a Master of Arts in Theatre and Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Villanova University, where she was a Morgan Scholar. She completed her thesis as the Dramaturg for the school’s production of She Loves Me. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Certificate in Digital Media & Design from The Catholic University of America, where she received the Artistic Excellence Award. She completed her capstone project as the Scenic Designer for the school’s production of Pride & Prejudice. Over the past 6 years, she has worked with professional artists and theatre companies in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, the Lehigh Valley, and Orlando. Miss Schutzler also worked for the Walt Disney World Parks & Resorts as a part of the Disney College Program, where she had the opportunity to learn show production and design from Disney Imagineers.

Miss Schutzler is looking forward to furthering the development of the Production Arts program, and bringing her design and producing experience to a new level.
