Stephanie Covelle is employed by Charter Arts as the Director of Specialized Services.  She assumes this role after serving as the Director of School Counseling and School Counselor for the past 16 years. She is originally from the northern suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.

Ms. Covelle came to the Lehigh Valley to attend Lehigh University as an undergraduate student. As an undergrad, she majored in English with a minor in Sociology, ultimately graduating with departmental honors.  As an undergraduate, she was a four-year member of Lehigh University’s softball team, which won a Patriot League championship in 2001 and appeared in the NCAA tournament. In her junior year, she was awarded Patriot League Pitcher of the Year honors and was selected to the ECAC All-Region Second Team as a utility player.  Upon graduation in 2002, she enrolled in Lehigh’s College of Education, where she earned her Masters of Education degree with a concentration in Secondary School Counseling.

Beginning in 2003, Ms. Covelle joined Lehigh Softball’s coaching staff as their pitching coach. In May of 2020, she retired from her pitching coach responsibilities with the Lehigh University Softball Program after 17 seasons.  In her tenure with Lehigh Softball, Ms. Covelle served as an assistant which won nine Patriot League championships.  Despite an intense background in athletics, Ms. Covelle finds working with the students at Charter Arts to be extremely rewarding since Charter Arts students are as passionate about their art as she is about softball.

At Charter Arts, Ms. Covelle oversees (but not limited to): administrative oversight of PowerSchool and PowerTeacher Gradebook Pro, the Master Schedule (including oversight of student schedule change requests and procedures), Parent/Guardian Evening Programming for the School Counseling Department (i.e. Senior College Night, Financial Aid Seminars, Junior College Information Night, etc.), PSAT administration, AP administration, SAT School Day administration,  Student Support Team (SST) Leader, quarterly progress report and report card distribution, and oversight of the Counseling Team’s social and emotional wellness programming.
