The Charter Arts Foundation is proud to announce that the Foundation’s Giving Circle has recently awarded more than $26K in grant funding to benefit the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts.
This year’s grant award winners were named in a virtual celebration held on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. Michelle Landis, the Giving Circle Chair, announced the winners over Zoom sharing the moment virtually with members of the Giving Circle.
Formed in 2015, the Giving Circle is a dedicated group of supporters who each give at least $1000 annually to expand the funding opportunities of the Charter Arts Foundation. To date, this group’s fundraising has contributed more than $90K to the Foundation’s mission to support the health and welfare of Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts funding projects such as the Charter Arts Commons Café Kitchen, the Mural Project, the school’s master class program, and more!
The Giving Circle holds four gatherings each year, at which students and faculty members present proposed projects that need funding. At the group’s final meeting in May, members vote to determine which project(s) to fund for the following year.
After a majority vote, Michelle Landis announced this year’s winning projects:
$20,000 to the Box Office Package proposal which includes a digital marquee sign and thermal printer.
$6,300 to the Master Design Starter Kit for the Production Arts Department.
Thank you to the students and faculty members who participated in proposal presentations this year.
