COMMUNITY REQUESTS
Playing an active role in our community is an important part of the Charter Arts mission. Our administrators, faculty, staff, and students enjoy giving back through performances and community service. Each year, we participate in a wide range of community events, collaborative performances and initiatives. Some examples include: Performing for the Chamber of Commerce annual meeting, performing with the Bach Choir, monthly performances at SteelStacks and Hotel Bethlehem, assisting with the Special Olympics, performing at the Salvation Army, Moravian Village, and more. In addition, many of our premiere performance groups are often booked to perform with acts who are appearing at many Lehigh Valley venues, such as, performing with the legendary rock group, Foreigner, the Tenors, Julliard Jazz, Kamasi Washington, Dance NOW, to name but a few.
Because we receive countless requests for performance or community service opportunities, we ask that you take a moment and fill out the appropriate form so we can review your request:
Charter Arts produces close to ninety performances and events in-house each school year. In addition, we accept a select number of community performances to expose our students to professional opportunities. Since our students handle a hectic rehearsal and performance schedule in addition to managing all of their artistic and core curricular work, we try to accept a reasonable number of community performances. We value all opportunities, but we do have some black-out periods due to mid-terms, state testing, or in-house performance commitments.
