Production Arts Faculty
Amy graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a BFA in Fashion Design and Trend Research as well Polimoda International Institute of Fashion Design in Florence, Italy. She has extensive experience in Film and Television in a variety of capacities such as licensing, product development and manufacturing. She served as Vice-President for Product Development for New Line Cinema, as well as worked with other notable companies such as Warner Brothers, Mattel, Disney, Nickelodeon, Lucus Films and Sanrio to name a few. Amy was the recipient of the 2003 FIT Star Award recognizing her contributions to the fashion industry.
Some of Amy’s favorite experiences include working on such properties as Lord of the Rings, Elf, Barbie, Hello Kitty, and The Little Mermaid. In recent years, she’s enjoyed working with local community theaters on costuming and sets for ELF the Musical, Mamma Mia, Guys and Dolls, Into the Woods, Shrek the Musical and The Full Monty.
Amy joined Charter Arts in the fall of 2022 and has enjoyed incorporating her years of experiences into her teaching as well as getting to know the students and their artistic talents.
