O’Brien, Myriah

Mrs O’Brien, (PhD Candidate) received her Master's in Dance from Florida State University (2009) where she trained with ballerina Suzanne Farrell.

In 2016, she founded the Pocono Academy of Dance where dancers under her tutelage gained admittance to summer intensives, degree programs, collegiate dance teams, as well as obtained various scholarships.

Additionally, Mrs O’Brien has instructed ballet across north Florida and south Georgia, as well as here in Northeastern Pennsylvania. As a classically trained ballet dancer, she has performed many classical roles including: Sugarplum Fairy, and Arabian from the "Nutcracker," Swan Lake" (pas de trios), "Le Corsaire" pas de deux, "Raymonda,"the "Firebird” and many other original works.
