
Weller, Ashley Tait
Theatre Faculty
Ashley Tait Weller is a full-time member of the Theatre Faculty. She teaches all grade levels voice, movement, acting and the Musical Theatre electives. Mrs. Weller directs and choreographs productions at Charter Arts and the surrounding area. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with dual degrees in Theatre and Interdisciplinary Fine Arts Dance Track.
Ashley is an ensemble affiliate for Touchstone Theatre. Her work at Touchstone includes: Christmas City Follies XVIII (actor/choreographer), Young Playwrights Festival (director/performer), Prometheus/Redux (Julia/choreographer), The Games We Play, Dictators 4 Dummies and HeadEye as choreographer. Ashley was the recipient of the 2017 Indiana University of Pennsylvania Young Alumni Achievement Award on behalf of the College of Fine Arts. She received the 2010 K-12 Teacher of the Year Award for Dance and the 2014 Emerging Leader Award both from the Pennsylvania State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (PSAHPERD). She participated in the Intercultural Festival Laboratory of Theatre Practice (FLIPT) in Fara In Sabina, Italy. While attending FLIPT, she performed in Shakespeare's Island and Invisible Cities.
