A Deep Dive Into Art Appreciation: Demystifying Art with Roger Brinker
Tuesday evenings, 6-7:30 PM
Start date: January 19, 2021 (runs for 4 consecutive Tuesdays)
This lecture series will help you discover how to look at a drawing, painting, or sculpture with a probing eye. Learn to see beyond the image and find the artistic elements common to realistic and abstract artworks. Develop the confidence to make your own artistic opinions.
Brinker will take the art admirer on a profound exploration into the history of art, tracing the genealogy of artists through their training with master artists in the academies and art schools of France and Italy all the way to the beginning of Western art. Ideal for beginner to advanced art enthusiasts.
Fee: $75 Individual. $65 ea. Couple/Buddy Pass – 2 or more registered at the same time. $10 off for Charter Arts parents/guardians.

Registration, Cancellation, and Refund Policy:
- Full payment is required at time of registration. Partial payments or payment plans are not available for this program.
- Participants who have registered and who have paid in full for an event in the Adult Enrichment Workshop Series (AEWS), who choose to cancel their registration, must notify the AEWS Coordinator in writing at communications@charterarts.org.
- A participant who cancels his/her registration more than 14 business days prior to class start date, is eligible for a 100% refund. A participant who cancels his/her registration 5-13 business days prior to class start date will be eligible for a 50% refund. A participant who cancels his/her registration less than 5 business days prior to class start date, will not be eligible for a refund.
- A participant who has registered and paid in full for a workshop, who chooses to terminate his/her participation after the class start date, will not be eligible for a refund but can transfer unused hours toward another workshop in the AEWS Program based on availability. This credit must be used during the 2020-2021 AEWS Program and cannot be transferred to another program at a later date.
Course Cancellation:
The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts Adult Enrichment Workshop Series (AEWS) reserves the right to cancel a workshop/event due to insufficient enrollment. If a workshop/event is canceled, students will be notified in writing, and all registered participants who have paid in full will be eligible for a full refund OR participants may choose to transfer their registration fee to another course or workshop in the 2020-2021 AEWS program. The Charter Arts AEWS program reserves the right to replace a course instructor without notification.
