The Charter Arts Visual Arts Department will launch its virtual exhibition: InVision Photography Festival.
The exhibit will be available to view through November 30, 2020.
Charter Arts participates in South Bethlehem’s First Friday celebrations throughout the school year.
The Charter Arts Visual Arts Department presents its Virtual Fall Exhibition, with a kick-off on October 2, 2020. This Back to School showing of the department’s Spring 2020 includes examples of in-class and personal series work from grades 10-12 plus alumni.
The virtual exhibit will be available to view through October 31, 2020.
The much-anticipated 2020 Senior Art Exhibit will take place virtually this year, with a kick-off on Friday, May 1, 2020, which would have been the Opening Reception date.

Some workshops are taught by Charter Arts’ acclaimed faculty and some are taught by visiting artists. Come join us for some great training and great fun all wrapped into one. This program operates as a fundraiser for the school.

A Deep Dive Into Art Appreciation: Demystifying Art with Roger Brinker
Thursday evenings, 6-8 PM
Start date: October 3, 2019 (runs for 4 consecutive Thursdays)
This lecture series will help you discover how to look at a drawing, painting, or sculpture with a probing eye. Learn to see beyond the image and find the artistic elements common to realistic and abstract artworks. Develop the confidence to make your own artistic opinions.
Brinker will take the art admirer on a profound exploration into the history of art, tracing the genealogy of artists through their training with master artists in the academies and art schools of France and Italy all the way to the beginning of Western art. Ideal for beginner to advanced art enthusiasts.
Fee: $75 Individual. $65 Couple/Buddy Pass – 2 or more registered at the same time.

The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts will be holding a FREE First Friday Reception on November 3, from 6-9pm for its InVision Photography Festival Exhibit featuring artists: Jonathan Schimpf, Patricia Scialo, Carlos Reyes, Shawn Theodore, and Michael Fickes. The reception will be held in the Corpora Gallery, located on the school’s campus at 321 East 3rd Street, Bethlehem.

This workshop is designed for the novice young artist who is interested in learning the basics of painting and drawing. Participants will spend a portion of each session working on each art form. Open to children entering 5th-7th grades. After instruction and direction, participants will work independently on their projects for a portion of each class.
